Not quite a start I expected, but came down with a cold, gets worst than that though..
This is going to be quite short, but
So I came down with a nasty cold, just suddenly and developed into a nasty cough, a really nasty one. I won’t discuss the symptons, but they seem to match Acute Sinusitis, a problem with my nose that has been a problem pretty much all my life and has got worse.
The thing is, the cough is quite chronic that just develops into a continuous one where I cough so much, I get to the point where I retch. Its a nasty cough. It started in November 2019 to January 2020 and was off sick for a while, so I ended up on anti biotics and an inhaler as the doctors thought I was asthmatic.
In April 2022, I had the same problem, went to Royal Surrey County Hospital in the UK as that was close to my work place at the time, went through the tests, couldn’t find anything wrong, got given another course of anti biotics.
January 2024, same problem, was working from home for 2 weeks timing trains and again, anti biotics.
January 2025, I have now recognised the signs and go straight to the doctor as I know what’s going to happen. So what’s different this time? No anti biotics, on a mix of cough medicine, hay fever tablets, multi vitamins, sudafed, pain killers, beconase and throat spray which is doing something, but very slowly.
Of course, gone for an x-ray, airways are clear which is the same as the previous 3 times, but, they now think I am possibly asthmatic – great! So now getting more tests as the x-ray shows an upper respiratory problem. I think this is nose related but I have another big problem, diagnosed with eczema which apparently goes hand in hand with asthma which may explain something, so now I am on the inhaler again and got more tests to do, at least I’m getting to the bottom of my issues.
